Hyundai Santa Fe facelift

has announced it will bring a slightly revised Santa Fe SUV to the 2009 IAA Frankfurt. Updated Santa Fe will be displayed alongside the 2011 Tucson crossover, which will also make its world premiere in germany next month.

A pair of facelifted Santa Fe SUVs have been scooped just recently in the wild, wearing no camouflage, and clearly reveal a range of new exterior details. Up front, the facelifted Santa fe features a restyled three bar grille as well as slightly updated headlights. Some minor styling changes have also been made to front bumper, while at rear the Santa Fe gets a set of new taill-lights.

Under the hood of new Hyundai Santa Fe, there will be a new 2.2L R-diesel engine, currently running only in the 2010 Kia Sorento. The highly advanced diesel engine, which complies with Euro5 emission norms, is soon going to find its way to other mid-size Hyundai and Kia models.

The updated Hyundai Santa Fe SUV is expected to go on sale shortly after its European premiere in September. [Source: Autoexpress]
