Hyundai i30 3-door spy shots

Hyundai-blog.com reported yesterday that Korean automobile enthusiasts spotted a brand-new Hyundai i30 3-door while on a pre-production testing run.

The forth-coming Hyundai i30 3-door will feature a sportier exterior layout compared to the Elantra GT, which goes on sale in the USA in summer this year.

According to the very-first i30 3-door spy shots, the car sports a prominent side character sideline and sportier front fascia. The front-fascia appears to have a more aggressive hexagonal grille and larger bumper air-intakes. At rear, the car boasts similar tail-lamps as the 5-door hatchback.

Hyundai i30 3-door is expected to hit the European market towards the end of the year, after it makes its official publicpremiere at the Paris Auto Show in autumn.

The carmaker will offer a wide range of four-cyl. engines in the new three-door model, including a fuel-sipping 1,6L CRDI diesel engine, which churns out 128 horsepower.

Additionally, there'll be a highly-potent 1,6L T-GDI turbo engine intorduced to the i30 range. The 1,6L  unit is expected to produce around 185 horsepower and should achieve respectable fuel economy, says source close to Hyundai.
