Ssangyong Motor Company announced today the company has started to collect pre-orders for
their upcoming Tivoli small crossover vehicle.
Set to go on sale early next year, the new Tivoli CUV is expected to
have a huge impact on the brand itself and its position on the home domestic
market.
Not only the Tivoli crossover is the brand's first new model in three years after the Korando C, which was unveiled in 2011, it only the second model in the fast-growing small crossover vehicle segment.
Only Renault-Samsung offers a similar car, while Hyundai and Kia have their contenders still under development.

What is it like?
According to first design sketches, the Tivoli is an attractive looking CUV
with 5 doors, black C-pillars and a cantilevered roof
line pioneered by Land Rover.
The new crossover vehicle is well equipped and sports attractive alloy wheel design, LED rear lamps
and the "smart steer" technology that provides 3 modes of steering (normal,
comport and sports).
The vehicle
provides a roomy cabin along with a 423 liter cargo space that will appeal to people enjoying outdoor activities.
Engines at launch are limited to two 1.6L units, in
either petrol or diesel form. They are both offered with a choice of 2- or 4-wheel drive, with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.
According to reports from South Korea, the Ssangyong Tivoli
has a pricing tag ranging from 16.3 million won to 23.7
million won, depending on the trims.
It goes on sale in January 2015.
