Only a few days after Kia released the very-first official images of its all-new pro_cee'd 3-door hatchback, Hyundai revealed its own version of the C-segment "coupe".
Scheduled to make its official public premiere at the 2012 Paris Auto Show next week, the new i30 3-door is the third addition to the Hyundai i30 family of cars, which includes an i30 5-door hatchback ( known as Elantra GT in the USA) and i30 Tourer (wagon).
The all-new Hyundai i30 three-door will be marketed exclusively in Europe and is supposed to strengthen the carmaker's presence in the Europe's most competitive segment.
The i30 3-door sports a very stylish exterior lay-out with slightly different front fascia when compared to the i30 5-door. The sporty Hyundai i30 3 door also features unique and sharply-raked beltline, as well as more angular glass-house silhouette.
Hyundai will offer its all-new 3-door hatchback with a choice of 6 highly-efficient four-cylinder engines along with six speed manual or 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
Initially, the Hyundai i30 3-door will not offer a turbo engine, but it won't take long, according to latest rumors, until Hyundai also introduces a sportier variant of the i30 3-door with a 1,6L turbo engine.
The sporty i30 Turbo should feature some unique styling add-ons such as more agressive bumpers, newly styled alloy-wheels, side-skirts and rear spoiler. Perhaps at some point, Hyundai will also offer it with a unique matte black exterior paint similar to the one found on a 2013 Veloster Turbo!
