Hyundai sales figures for September

Hyundai of USA announces its September 2012 sales figures!

September was another great month for Hyundai Motor America! Their sales have soared 15 percent compared to the same month a year ago, and its just-recently launched Santa Fe CUV, one of the carmaker's most important models, is back on track posting healty sales increases.

The best-selling model, however, was the Elantra compact car, which has replaced the long-time leader in sales, the Sonata mid-size sedan. The difference between the two was a mere 1,000 units.

Let's just take a quick look at some of the September sales highlights:

1. September 2012 is the seventh straight month when Hyundai broke the 60,000 units sales mark
2. Elantra replaces Sonata as the best-selling Hyundai vehicle in the USA
2. Hyundai's year-to-date sales are up 10 percent compared to 2011
4. The all-new Hyundai Azera sales increases 1028 percent
