Avante Coupe debuts in Korea

Hyundai unveils the all-new Avante Coupe at the 2012 Busan Auto Show!

Korean consumers have finally gotten their hand on a brand-new Avante Coupe. The Avante Coupe is a sportier version of a popular Avante 4-door sedan, which is one of the top selling cars in the South Korean market.

The all-new Hyundai Avante Coupe is known as Hyundai Elantra Coupe 2013 at the markets outside of Korea. The Elantra Coupe was first showcased at Chicago Auto Show in April and is projected to go on sale in the USA during this summer.

The Korean-market Avante Coupe is powered by a 2,0L GDI four-cylinder engine, which belongs to the Nu engine family. The engine has a maximum power output of 175 horsepower, which is around 25 horsepower more than the unit propelling the upcoming 2013 Elantra Coupe.

Hyundai has yet to reveal more technical details about the 2013 Avante Coupe, but we have learned that the engine will be mated to 6 speed automatic transmission and will achieve segment leading fuel economy.
