Hyundai Azera wins Top Safety Pick Award

Hyundai Azera offers up-to-date safety features and rigid body structure made from high quality steel.

Hyundai cars blog recently reported that the all-new 2012 Hyundai Azera FWD sedan received a Top Safety Pick Award (Source: http://www.hyundai-blog.com/2012-hyundai-azera-safety).

The highly-coveted safety award was given to the 2012 Azera sedan by IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety), an organization which helps consumers select cars and SUVs that offer the highest levels of occoupant protection.

The all-new Hyundai Azera earned the award after it earned the top ratings in front, side, rear impact and rollover crash tests.

According to the guys over at Hyundai-blog.com, there were no doubts that the redesigned Azera wouldn't achieve the top safety award. Afterall, the model boasts all important safety features including ESP, ABS, VSM and 9 airbags (with driver's knee airbag) among others.

The 2012 Hyundai Azera went on sale in the States earlier this year and is available with a choice of a single engine. The 3,3L V6 GDI unit generates 293 horsepower and is mated to Hyundai's in-house developed six-speed automatic transmission.

Priced at $32,000 (the entry-level Azera), the large sized Hyundai sedan achieves best-in-segment average fuel economy of 23 mpg!
